Chickamauga Living History - September 21-23, 2007

Hosted by The WIG & the Stonewall Brigade - Pictures Taken By Rich Taddeo, Phil Maddox, Alan Becton, & Matt Grubb.  The WIG and the Stonewall Brigade hosted a living history at the Chickamauga National Battlefield on September 21-23, 2007.  During the event we portrayed three Confederate Infantry Companies and one Confederate Artillery Battery. The WIG portrayed the 7th Texas, Gregg’s Brigade, which later became Granbury’s Brigade under Cleburne. Gregg’s Brigade was under Buckner's Corp in the left wing commanded by Gen. Longstreet. The Stonewall Brigade and the PLHA portrayed one company of the 7th SC from Kershaw’s Brigade of Longstreet's Corp. The horse drawn Artillery portrayed Bledsoe's Missouri Battery. This was not a static living history. We followed the actual movements of both brigades in real time during the weekend putting on demonstrations for the public through out the day. All of out movements were directed by the bugle.
