2013 Events
The WIG is planning to support the following events this year.
Gettysburg 150th Anniversary Battle - June 27-30, 2013
Most of you are already familiar with the BGA effort for the 150th Anniversary. Many of you are already committed to either the Confederate 1st Tennessee impression headed up by Skip Owens, or the Federal effort (Murray's Brigade) lead by Rob Murray.
Chickamauga 150th Anniversary Battle - September 19-22, 2013 - WIG Primary Event
Location: Mountain Cove Farms, Chickamauga, Ga.
The WIG will be portraying the 2d South Carolina, Kershaw's Brigade, Longstreet's Corps. Click here for more information concerning the WIG effort. (Note: English Army Cloth (EAC) Richmond Jacket in type II or III (per Les Jenson’s article) is required for this impression!)
Battle of Fort Sanders 150th Anniversary - Campaigner Adjunct - October 11-13, 2013
The Mossy Creek Mess and the Sally Port Mess will be hosting a joint adjunct this year for the 150th Battle of Fort Sanders in Corryton, TN. The dates are October 11-13, 2013. This is the same site where Race to Knoxville and Valley Forge took place. Do not miss out on your last opportunity to assault the full scale replica of the Northwest Bastion of Fort Sanders! Registration will open as soon as the site opens registration!
Battle for Lookout Mountain 150th Anniversary - November 22-24, 2013
This event is being hosted by the Armory Guards. More information will be coming soon.
