Battle of port Gibson - 2003 These photos were taken during the march in May 2003 at Port Gibson, Mississippi - one of the hottest events we have ever attended. For those who were there, you understand how the dry dust of Bruinsburg Road can be kicked up during a dry Mississippi spring day. Note the image of the bacon on the bayonets! We were led by our fearless Leaders: Rick Joslyn, Harry Connelly, John Cleveland, & Coley Adair. The march route was fifteen miles long and was the same as the route that the Army of the Tenn., marched on in April 30, May 1st 1863, and including the part of the route where the Battle of Port Gibson was fought. |
